What is an affiliate link?

An affiliate link is a special URL that contains a tracking parameter tied to our account. When you click the link and buy a product, the retailer (for example, Amazon) pays us a small percentage of the sale price as a commission. The price you pay is the same as it would be if you visited the retailer directly - the commission comes out of the retailer's margin, not your wallet.

How this affects what we recommend

It does not. Our editorial decisions are made independently of any affiliate relationship. A product that pays a higher commission does not get a better rating, a more prominent position, or more favourable language. From time to time we may participate in affiliate programs operated by other retailers or brands. Where we do, the same principles apply: affiliate relationships do not influence editorial recommendations.

Why we use affiliate links

Affiliate commissions are one of the ways Findory stays independent and free to read. They support research, editing, and operating the site without a paywall.
